Workshops

SMART Workshop

The SMART workshop is a non-standing Committee related workshop to increase basic skills and knowledge related to project & activity management, general leadership and facilitation-skills of all participants. IFMSA is a platform for healthcare and medical students from across the world. However big or small the National Member Organisation is, every IFMSA member at some point works on activities and projects. Activities are also the best way for IFMSA to have a concrete and direct impact on the local and regional communities. We hope that with this workshop the region of Africa will become more active in the program sphere, will truly show how impactful the region is and and fulfill one of the objectives of its regional strategy: the promotion of inter-NMO collaboration between NMOs within the region especially in regards to projects and activities. This workshop relates to all work done in IFMSA either internally or externally. In alignment with the IFMSA vision and mission, this workshop proposes a platform to discuss activity management, Theory of Change and Sustainability. The workshop empowers members in strategic planning and evaluation and impact assessment to lead tangible action that positively impacts communities. The tools shared in the workshop aligns with IFMSA Programs and are flexible enough to meet the diverse NMOs’ structures and needs.
